Powerplay is a three-day, three-night experience which will have you cruising through the blissful Whitsunday Islands as you feel the tropical sea breeze in your hair. Guests will have exclusive, guided access to the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park and all of our favourite, hidden gems. Our friendly and fun crew will be on board to make sure you get a hands-on taste of the wonderous Whitsundays, so you can get your adventure on while we take care of the rest!

Snorkelling
Make a splash and be awestruck by the Great Barrier Reef's impeccable snorkelling adventures. You will have ample opportunity to dive deep into an ethereal world of underwater magic, as you get a taste for the kaleidoscopic colours that surround you! All snorkel gear and instruction are provided by our experienced crew… snorkelling has never been so accessible! Tropical fish, vibrant soft-corals, turtles, dolphins and dugongs are just a few of the magnificent creatures spotted out in the luscious Great Barrier Marine Park, so keep your eyes peeled as you brush shoulders with these natural wonders!
Whitehaven Beach
Boundless white, pristine sands stretch out in front of your eyes at Whitehaven Beach. Take a dip in the crystal-clear waters as you chill out in tropical bliss and kick back surrounded by incredible, postcard-worthy scenery. Whitehaven is famous for its rare, pure silica sands which are bright white and squeaky, created by the naturally phenomenal sea currents. The Instagram-able sands of Whitehaven absorb the sun and will always be the perfect temperature for a leisurely stroll along the beach. Home to some of the Whitsunday's best fringing reefs, you’ll make the most of your day at Whitehaven as you explore an array of nearby, flourishing snorkel spots! So set your clock to island time and dive into the breathtaking beauty of Whitehaven Beach!
Hill Inlet Lookout
You really won’t believe your eyes as you witness the famous shifting sands, only seen from Hill Inlet Lookout. It really is a dream! This natural phenomenon is created when the bright aqua ocean and pure white sand dance together to make for a heavenly view. Get back to your roots on a short bushwalk, full of native flora and fauna, that will have you gazing out to Hill Inlet and Whitehaven Beach. It’s pretty breathtaking, and you definitely won’t want to forget your camera as you experience this slice of paradise!
Stand-Up Paddleboards
Powerplay offers a range of colourful paddleboards so you can make a splash to your heart’s content! Have fun and view the superb marine life from above as you glide across the deep blue in style. So try your hand at stand-up paddleboarding and surprise yourself as you move smoothly through the pristine ocean with ease! All of the equipment and instruction for our onboard stand-up paddleboarding are provided, making this water activity a fresh and exciting way to explore the reef for everyone!

Boasting a heated spa, Powerplay really is a luxury gem of a boat! Live it up as you hang out and unwind in our state-of-the-art, modern spa. Go between the cool, refreshing ocean to the warm jacuzzi jets for a fantastic sensory experience bound to have you relaxed. Blue Lights
Witness the Whitsunday’s extraordinary marine life like never before as we illuminate the underwater world with our blue lights! Unique to Powerplay’s aft hulls, our lights will quite literally bring to light dolphins, sharks batfish, trevallies and more! Our gentle blue lights attract baitfish and squid, which is food for larger fish and creatures. You will be gobsmacked by the raw marine interactions under the blue lights, so hop aboard to see the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park and its unique marine ecosystems like never before!

What to Bring
Please bring only a small soft bag with:

NO large bags, suitcases or bags with wheels allowed.
Excess luggage can be stored at our Airlie Beach Travel Shop in town for an extra cost. Located at 344 Shute Harbour Road, open seven days per week.
You will also need to bring your own alcoholic beverages, available for purchase in town. NO GLASS BOTTLES OR RED WINE, please. You also cannot bring excessive amounts of alcohol - the absolute maximum is 24 cans of beer (preferably lite), one box of wine, or 1/2 bottle of spirits per person.

You will be sent an online check-in to complete prior to departure. Once you have completed the online check-in, you will be sent an email with a map and boarding pass. You MUST be able to show this boarding pass on the day of travel in order to board the vessel. If you encounter any problems during this process, please contact Whitsunday Sailing Adventures.
Please note that reconfirmation or check-in troubleshooting cannot be done through Sailing Whitsundays, and must be actioned directly through Whitsunday Sailing Adventures.
Cancellations
Client Cancellations:
All cancellations forfeit 25% of the recommended retail price (RRP) - not the discounted/sale price. Cancellations made 60-30 days prior to travel date forfeit 50% of the RRP. No shows or client cancellations made within 30 days of departure forfeit 100% of the total ticket price.
Transfers between tours can be made at the supplier’s discretion, however, it should be noted that supplier fees may apply. Tour transfers also incur a $20 administration fee.
It is compulsory that all cancellation requests are in writing and sent via email to admin@mr-travel.com. Cancellations attempted via online chat or phone will not be actioned.
Supplier Cancellations:
The Service Operator reserves the right to alter prices, alter itineraries, apply a fuel surcharge, cancel departures, arrange alternative transport and vary itineraries and services if necessary.
All departures and itineraries are subject to weather. Tours may be changed or cancelled for any reason at the discretion of the Service Operator. If the Service Operator has to cancel the trip or activity (prior to departure) and we cannot offer a suitable alternative, then a refund will be given minus a 20% administration fee and any associated card fees. We strongly recommend that you have travel insurance, especially during the wet season.
In the unlikely event of your trip being cancelled or stood down, all guest communication is required to go through our Online Store via telephone or email. While there is a Sailing Whitsundays retail outlet located at Airlie Beach, please be aware that they operate as a separate entity and are unable to access reservations made by the Mr Travel online department.
Refunds:
All refunds are in Australian Dollars and must be made to the card of payment. Sailing Whitsundays/Mr Travel is not liable for exchange rate fluctuations or fees, or any other merchant/bank fees associated with domestic and/or international transactions.
Where a full refund is applicable, there is the option to transfer the whole cost of the tour to another tour or “Credit” to avoid the administration fee. A transfer fee of $20 will apply.
You will be emailed confirmation once the refund has been processed. Once the refund has been processed, it may still take time for the banks to clear the amount. Please allow 7-10 business days for the funds to clear into Australian accounts and up to 21 business days for international accounts.
Accountability/Misconduct:
All Service Operators have the right to provide client feedback and to cancel bookings based on feedback from other Service Operators.

Sailing Whitsundays/Mr Travel will treat this as any normal client cancellation and therefore the cancellation fees stated in the Client Cancellation Policy will apply.

Important Information:
Please note: Powerplay is suitable for guests aged 16 years and over.
As Powerplay is very water-orientated, you MUST be able to swim to board the boat, and for safety reasons, you must also be able to speak English. If you do not fit these requirements, you may not be able to book this tour.
Your Responsibilities:
Please advise us before booking if any passengers are under 18 years old to ensure this is the appropriate trip.
You must reconfirm all booked tours prior to travel as specified on your voucher. If applicable, notes such as dietary requirements, pick-up locations and additional fees should also be confirmed at this time. Reconfirmations cannot be actioned through Sailing Whitsundays/Mr Travel, and must be done so directly through the Service Operator as specified on each ticket.
It is your responsibility to notify us of ticket discrepancies. Please read through the details on your voucher thoroughly to ensure all details such as passenger names, ages and dates of travel on vouchers are correct.
It is the responsibility of all passengers travelling to advise both your travel agent at the time of booking and the vessel check-in agent before boarding of any medical conditions including food allergies you may suffer from.
You need to allow adequate time to check-in prior to the specified departure time.
Prices/Extra Costs:
All prices are stated in Australian dollars and include GST. Surcharges over peak holiday seasons may apply.
The Service Operator reserves the right to alter prices and extra costs. Extra costs may include EMC fees, Stingersuit/Wetsuit Hire, Luggage Storage, Insurance, Linen Hire, National Park Fees, Fuel Levies, Dietary Fees, etc. Bonds may also apply.
We will also endeavour to communicate these extra costs with you at the time of booking, and on your ticket. However, it is your responsibility to confirm which (if any) additional costs apply with each Service Operator upon reconfirming your trip.
Travel Risk/Insurance:
It should be noted that adventure travel involves risk. Whilst we make every effort to safeguard clients, we cannot be responsible for personal injury or loss due to the actions of our clients which are beyond our control. We highly recommend that all clients have travel insurance covering illness, injury, loss or damage to personal belongings and not being able to travel on the confirmed date of departure. You should also ensure your travel insurance will cover special circumstances including weather events preventing guests from travelling to their tour departure destination and cancelled flights due to unforeseen circumstances.
Merchant Fees:
Please be aware operators pass on credit card merchant fees so there is a non-refundable 1% surcharge for VISA and MASTERCARD card purchases.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between Powerplay 2D2N and Powerplay 3D3N?
The main difference between Powerplay 2D2N and Powerplay 3D3N is the time at sea and pace of the tour. Both tours include Whitehaven Beach, Hill Inlet, snorkelling, and free time for use of the paddleboards and heated spa.
It may sound obvious, but Powerplay 3D3N simply provides more time to enjoy the Whitsundays! You have more opportunities for snorkelling, exploring, visiting hidden gems, and relaxing onboard. If you have a longer Whitsundays trip and you really want to enjoy the laid-back pace of island life, the 3-day tour is ideal.
What is the minimum age for travelling on this trip?
The recommended age group for Powerplay is for passengers aged 18-45, however passengers 16 years old and above are welcome on board.
Please note, if you book with guests who are under 16 years of age, you will be refused to board.
Can I bring luggage on Powerplay?
Powerplay has limited storage space in the cabins, so please don't bring large bags or suitcases. Only bring a small, soft bag with your belongings for the 3-day tour.
However, we offer luggage storage for as little as $10 a day in our Travel Shop which is located at the top of Airlie Beach's main street. The address is 344 Shute Harbour Road, Airlie Beach, QLD, 4802.
Do you cater for vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free diets, etc?
Yes, special diets can be catered for! Surcharges will apply for dietary requirements including Gluten Free, Coeliac, Dairy or Lactose Free, Vegan, Fad Diets, etc. The surcharge is $45 per person and payable upon check-in (no surcharge for vegetarian diets).
Please let us know about dietary requirements upon booking so the crew can prepare in advance!
Can I come on Powerplay if I can't swim?
As Powerplay is very water-orientated, you MUST be able to swim to board the boat. But you can contact our team to discuss this further, as the crew may decide this on a case-by-case basis.
Is snorkelling equipment included on Powerplay?
Yes, snorkelling gear including masks, snorkels and stingersuits are provided on Powerplay. Fins are not included, and special gear such as prescription masks may need to be hired for an extra cost from Aqua Dive at the Coral Sea Marina.
Can I bring alcohol on board Powerplay?
Yes, you are able to bring your own alcohol (BYO) on Powerplay! Please note that you cannot bring glass or red wine. You also cannot bring excessive amounts of alcohol - the absolute maximum is 24 cans of beer (preferably lite), one box of wine, or 1/2 bottle of spirits per person.
Are cabins on Powerplay air-conditioned?
Yes, the private and shared cabins on Powerplay are air-conditioned. The shared saloon accommodation has fans to keep guests cool.
Is there a hot shower on Powerplay?
Yes, there are two bathrooms with hot showers on Powerplay!
Can I smoke on board?
Smoking is only permitted in designated smoking areas on Powerplay.
Can I charge my phone on board?
Yes, there are charging ports in the main saloon on Powerplay.
What are marine blue lights?
Marine blue lights are installed under the back of Powerplay catamaran. Their gentle blue hue attracts more fish to come near the boat, making it the perfect vessel for spotting marine life.
Is this tour wheelchair accessible?
Powerplay is not wheelchair accessible
Which snorkelling spots may we visit on Powerplay?
Whitsundays snorkel spots often visited during the Powerplay 3-day tour include Luncheon Bay, Mantaray Bay, Cockatoo Point, and Mackerel Bay. But the crew will decide the best locations based on the weather and tide conditions that day, ensuring you get the best possible experience!
How many people can fit in the hot tub?
Powerplay's heated onboard spa accommodates up to six guests at a time. It's the perfect place to relax after snorkelling, paddleboarding or exploring Whitehaven Beach. Enjoy the warm water, socialise with fellow travellers and admire the tropical surroundings during your three-night Whitsundays catamaran adventure.
Is there Wifi available on board?
Yes, there is Wifi onboard Powerplay!
Are towels provided on board?
Towels are provided, however guests are welcome to bring their own if preferred
Where do I find the meeting point for Powerplay?
Powerplay departs from the North End of Coral Sea Marina (meeting point B) under the umbrellas. If you head towards Sorrento's bar, then you're pretty much in the right place.
Is there a parking facility available?
Parking is available at Coral Sea Marina, daily rates apply
What shoes are most practical to wear?
Everyone is required to be barefoot whilst on the boat, however for the hike to Hill Inlet, it's recommended to wear trainers/crocs/sandals/thongs
Is there a limit to how much alcohol I can bring on board?
Yes, 24 cans, one box of wine or half a bottle of spirit per person
